This book is the second in a series that follows Derek and Scott. The first book, Wrestling With Desire, is currently in the final editing stages and expected to be published by Featherweight Press in the early fall.
This second book follows Derek and Scott to college where they deal more explicitly with the process of coming out to their family and struggle with the risks and challenges of being openly gay.
In the story, Derek, thrilled to be at college and with Scott, is gung ho about coming out all the way. Scott, happy to be with Derek and having overcome many of the challeneges he had faced moving around so much and growing up with soch a controlling father, is less interested in coming out.
As the story progresses, tension rises between Derek and Scott as Derek tries to esplore what it means to be out and proud and Scott tries to be supportive while remaining comfortable private.
Wheh Derek meets Tyrell Jackson, also a freshman and very out, he thinks that he had made a great friend. Tyrell has other ideas in mind and as the story unfolds, we watch Tyrell try to take advantage of Derek's frustration with Scott. It all comes to a head when Tyrell make shis move.
Once Wrestling With Desire is ready for publication (soon), I will polish this book and send it in to Featherweight so that the wait won't be too long to follow these guys.
